Focuh vs Rize
Rize tells you where your hours went. Focuh is the ADHD todo list those hours were supposed to go to. If you need measurement, pick Rize. If you need a list that survives the day and a Mac blocker that holds, pick Focuh.
What Rize is for
Rize is automatic time tracking. A desktop app for Mac and Windows watches what you work on, categorizes it with AI, and turns it into reports: focus time, meetings, context switching, breaks. It is built for people who want the truth about where their hours go, like freelancers tracking billable hours, teams watching utilization, or anyone auditing their own workday. It is a subscription product, about $12.99 a month for individuals.
If your bottleneck is not knowing where the time went, Rize is built for that.
What Focuh is for
Focuh is the ADHD todo list I built for myself, on Mac and web. Today sits next to Google Calendar. Week is the week. Loops are standing to-dos with no date. You pull a copy onto today and the loop stays. Goals are the one win for the horizon.
On Mac, website and app blocking is system-wide, so it still holds when I leave the browser.
Free. Early beta. No subscription. Mac and web. No mobile.
Honest differences
Rize wins on measurement. It tracks automatically, and its reports on focus time and context switching are real work analytics. Focuh has none of that. It does not watch your apps and it does not build charts.
Focuh wins on planning and blocking. Rize has no todo list, so you still need somewhere to decide what today is. And Rize does not block apps across the whole Mac. A perfect time report does not close Reddit.
Price: Focuh is free. Early beta. No subscription. Rize is a paid subscription, about $12.99 a month on the individual plan. That is not a dig. You are paying for the tracking engine and the reports.

Who should pick which
Pick Rize if you bill hours, run on data, and want automatic reports on where your time actually goes.
Pick Focuh if you already know where the time goes and the leak is execution: you need the list in front of you, Today next to GCal, and the Mac blocker to hold.
They barely overlap, so some people run both: Rize to measure, Focuh to plan and execute. If you only pick one, pick the bottleneck you actually have.
